This typeface pulls through the best 70s design assets and refines them, expanding the use of this display style into a full variable type-family. Denton comes in two styles, which divide to offer subtle differences, maximising the type families’ use.

Denton: Retains the style but shifts it into a stable typeface, with greater clarity at a larger range of sizes.

Denton70: Focuses on display use, maintaining that expressive 70s tight letter-spacing with subtly modified letters & ligatures.

Quick tip for layered fonts in Adobe Illustrator :

Click and drag out a text frame to start (don’t just click with the cursor on the page). Then select the stacked text frames, go to Type in the menu bar > Area Type Options > Offset: First Baseline and select “Fixed”.

Troptical is available in five standardized, interchangeable widths marked with ascending numbers that represent their span in columns: 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30. Each width is offered in three weights: Light, Medium and Bold.

It's too much fun! Of all the fonts I have designed, this is my favorite. Thin strokes and delicate embellishments really do it for me and I hope it's for you too! You won't find curves like this in regular fonts. This is modern meets the classic, minimally meets the decorative. Look at the numbers ... then, look again.
